Jay Batista named COO at StorerTV
Mequon, WI - July 6, 2010 - Television industry veteran Jay Batista has joined StorerTV as the company's Chief Operating Officer. Batista brings more than 30 years of experience to the position including executive stints at Harris Corporation, VCI Solutions and most recently, London-based software company, AmberFin Ltd. His years of operational, marketing and sales management experience are a welcome addition to the StorerTV team, and his focus on new market development should serve the company well.
"Jay brings exceptional industry insight and expertise to our firm," says StorerTV President, Peter Storer. "He shares our long-term vision and has the experience to successfully guide our growth. We are happy to have him on board."
The newly created position is the latest sign that the company is poised to continue the accelerating growth of the past 3 years. In 2009, another television industry veteran, Toufic Moubarak, joined StorerTV as Vice President of Software Development. And earlier this year, the company announced that its scheduling-focused rights management software had been expanded to handle all rights management issues. This development is expected to open up new markets for the company as well as increase revenue opportunities with the current customer base.
"StorerTV recognizes that global rights management is a fundamental, rapidly expanding requirement in our multi-platform world, not only for its traditional broadcast and cable network customer base, but for content producers and distributors as well," says Jay Batista. "As the established leader in the area of rights management, StorerTV is well-positioned to effectively address all of these constituents needs."
StorerTV is a premier provider of television program management software. Since 1986, the company has created programs that enable broadcast stations, cable networks and group owners to manage the scheduling, rights and finances of programming contracts.
