At StorerTV, we know that transitioning to a new software application can be a headache. That's why we've developed a four-step process that makes the transition hassle-free.

Pre-installation interview

To ensure that you gain full advantage of SIMS' customization capabilities, we first need to learn as much as possible about your organization. To accomplish this goal, we interview members of your Programming and Finance Departments. With the information we obtain, we determine how best to organize your data for maximum productivity.

Constructing your database

To ensure immediate productivity, we can build your SIMS database for you. Data from your current system(s) – plus any you may have in paper form – are migrated to your new SIMS database.

When we are finished, you will have a complete set of data files including historical usage and asset amortization and liability balances -- a complete turnkey system.

With over 20 years of database construction experience, you can be assured that your data is entered accurately - a process we guarantee.

Installing the application and database

Prior to training, our Network Systems department coordinates with your IT department to ensure that all technical requirements are in place. As the data files near completion, we work with you to install the application and database. And, once the system is up, we guide you through the security and maintenance features.

On-site training

The final step in the process is training. Personalized, on-site training is an integral part of the SIMS package. Once your database is built, we send a seasoned professional to your site to train all key employees who will use the system. As part of the process, we:

  • provide a thorough orientation to the system
  • ensure that you understand all applicable functionality
  • conduct hands-on training in the day-to-day use of the system using your data
  • demonstrate how to customize elements to reflect your practices and preferences

Follow-up training can be scheduled to help your staff get the most out of SIMS. Our goal is to make SIMS a productive tool for departments across your organization.
