Peter Storer, Jr.
President and Founder, StorerTV
As President and founder of the organization, Peter Storer is actively involved in management and strategic planning for StorerTV. Peter Storer is an experienced software developer with a family legacy and career in the business side of television. Peter Storer is recognized throughout the industry for his knowledge and experience with business software systems, rights management and system integrations. Peter Storer meets regularly with industry groups, including SMPTE, ATSC, NAB, BCFM and NATPE and was one of the core group that helped develop ATSC’s PMCP standard and the new SMPTE BXF standard. He is a graduate of Harvard with a BS in Economics.
Jay Batista
Chief Operating Officer
Jay Batista manages StorerTV’s Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Accounting operations and works closely with President and founder, Peter Storer and VP of Software Development, Toufic Moubarak, to expand the company’s scope and product base.
Jay brings a wealth of management experience to the COO position. His most recent experience includes opening the North American branch office of AmberFin Ltd. as President/GM of the Americas. Prior to that, he headed up sales and marketing for traffic software supplier, VCI Solutions.
With 20 years in executive positions, including years at Adaptive Broadband and Harris Corporation, Jay comes to StorerTV with hands-on experience in linear broadcast television and cable networks, as well as non-linear distribution, private networks and new media. Since 1996 he has led world class sales organizations and strategic planning efforts and held active roles on acquisition teams. Having worked for both software and hardware suppliers serving the media industry, he is adept at all aspects of today’s content delivery chain.
Starting in broadcasting over 30 years ago, Jay’s many years working behind the scenes at the station level and as a supplier to our industry have provided him a broad understanding of the challenges facing today’s operators. As a result, he is well prepared to address the needs of a growing software company like StorerTV.
Douglas Knight
Vice President, Sales
Doug Knight has led the corporate sales team at StorerTV since 1993, spearheading sales and marketing operations. In the spring of 2010, Mr. Knight relocated to Portland, Oregon to open a West Coast office for the company. Mr. Knight came to the company with more than 20 years of experience in the television industry. He has served as production manager, program manager, corporate program manager and station manager at a number of television stations nationwide and as Vice President of Sales for Viacom Domestic Television.
Toufic Moubarak
Vice President, Software Development
Toufic Moubarak leads StorerTV's IT and development staff. In addition to his management responsibilities, Mr. Mourbarak works with clients on custom software projects and represents StorerTV on professional and industry-related committees such as ATSC, NAB and SMPTE. Mr. Moubarak has extensive IT experience in the television industry. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of Research and Information Systems for TitanTV Media. Mr. Moubarak is completing his Doctorate in Management and Organizational Leadership. He received a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Computer Science from the University of Jordan.
Karen Forecki
Vice President, Client Services
As Vice President of Client Services, Karen Forecki manages our product support, training and database construction operations. Ms. Forecki has managed the department since 1995. She has more than 25 years of experience in the broadcast/cable industry, including five years as a traffic manager. She joined the Storer team in 1991.
Sandy Demitros
Vice President, Quality Assurance
As Vice President of Quality Assurance, Ms. Demitros leads the team that is responsible for enhancing the customer experience. Her group works to ensure that StorerTV software meets client expectations for functionality and performance. Ms. Demitros most recently served as Vice President of Software Development. She has also served as Vice President of Corporate Relations and as Director of Client Services for Storer. She has a background in broadcast traffic including nine years as Traffic Manager at WITI-TV, a former Storer station. Ms. Demitros has the distinction of being Mr. Storer's first hire.
Paul Daczko
Vice President, Technology
As Vice President of Technology, Paul Daczko oversees new technology initiatives and is currently involved in special projects which employ .NET technology and service-oriented architecture to deliver innovative solutions for the Internet/intranet platform. Mr. Daczko has over twenty years of experience developing software for the broadcasting industry, principally in the areas of program scheduling and system interfaces. Mr. Daczko joined the company in March of 1994. He has a degree in computer technology and has been a member of the Association of Computing Machinery since 1991.
