Enforce contract rights and restrictions with the power of SIMS
SIMS makes it easy to enforce contract terms. With SIMS, you can store all information on program and title content contracts including usage rights, non-linear clearances, market/schedule restrictions and financial information.
SIMS also offers real-time checking of contractual rights and restrictions, reducing errors in the scheduling process. Programs, episodes and films cannot be scheduled more often than allowed, outside of availability windows, or even too close together when spacing warnings are defined.
Designed to provide maximum flexibility, SIMS enables you to:
- restrict scheduling rights at either contract or title level using any combination of the following:
- number of runs
- start and end dates
- time of day
- day of week
- start and end times
- market/territory/schedule
- subscriber type clearance (VOD, SVOD, IPTV, etc.)
- track and enforce a variety of telecast rule options for rebroadcasts, play-days and exhibitions (free plays)
- require contract authorization prior to scheduling
- share a contract across multiple stations, channels or networks
- track lost (unused) plays upon expiration of a contract or title
- define hierarchical markets and/or territories with cascading rights to control scheduling
- track and report on secondary rights and other embedded title content using the title component feature. Title components can limit the scheduling of an associated title based on:
- start and end date
- time of day
- day of week
- start and end time
- add customized codes and fields to any title or contract
- view and report on contract usage detail for any title showing:
