A Proven 25 Year History
Peter Storer Jr., Founder and President of StorerTV, has come from a long line of broadcasters. He grew up while his grandfather, George Storer, and father, Peter Storer Sr., had been working to build the 4th largest radio and television broadcasting company in the United States. Peter Storer Jr. took what he learned from the family business and thought of ways to improve how broadcasters managed programming. After graduating from Harvard College, Peter started his own business (Peter Storer & Associates) and began development of the first television program management system which he called PGMS.
PGMS literally revolutionized how broadcasters handled their contracts, program scheduling and reporting. It allowed programming and accounting departments to create accurate usage and amortization reports and protected programmers from over scheduling.
As it evolved with the needs of the industry, the PGMS system, now known as SIMS (Storer Information Management System), has become the leader in contract and program rights management solutions used by media operations around the world.
Today, Peter Storer Jr. and StorerTV are continuing to change the industry by developing solutions like the CentriX automated workflow engine and partnering with industry leaders like London-based RightsTracker. These solutions not only manage back-office operations, but the entire business of managing media and beyond.
With specialized consulting and custom engineering services, StorerTV has moved outside of the broadcasting and cable industry to provide any business the same opportunities to enhance their operations through smart programs and streamlined workflows.
